Rochester Institute of Technology
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is a non-public university situated within the vicinity of town of Henrietta in the Rochester, New York metropolitan area. In 1944, the university altered its name to Rochester Institute of Technology.
It has a total undergraduate enrolment of 14,148, and the campus size is 1,300 acres. It utilizes a quarter-based academic calendar. RIT is poised of nine academic colleges, comprising the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. University is commonly known for its fine arts, computing, engineering, and imaging science programs; several fine arts programs routinely rank in the national "Top 10" according to the US News & World Report.

RIT's College of Applied Science and Technology is meeting that demand with three new graduate level programs—a master’s in facility management, an advanced certificate in project management and an advanced certificate in strategic training. The program is extended either on-campus or online, for full- or part-time study.

College has one of the prevalent and most established online education programs in the United States. Online Learning works with academic divisions to prop up online courses to RIT students, and deliver faculty with online technology to supplement campus-based courses. In 2008 Online Learning received the Center of Excellence Award from the New Media Consortium (NMC).
